Learning how to get outside more with my reactive dogs

Welcome!!!!!

This website is for women who would like to get outside and bring their pain-in-the-ass dogs along. When I adopted my dogs I thought they were automatically going to be good at hiking, biking, camping, paddling, etc., but it turns out that trying to take a bunch of reactive dogs to enjoy the outdoors is hard and I should never believe what I see on Instagram. Goooooo figure.  Most of our early trips have been a disaster (see blog below), but I am slowly learning how to train and manage my dogs so that everyone can be happy.

Sometimes this means we do a lot of training to prepare for an activity, and sometimes this means that I give up and rent a nice, quiet place for the dogs to relax while I go play my sports.

This blog is about my attempts to learn how to train my dogs: all the sources I am using, all the techniques I am trying. I also write about our attempted adventures, successful adventures, hikes, campgrounds, rentals, camp setups, car setups, etc.,  so that you can decide what may work for you and your dogs!

Please browse around the site and let me know what is helpful to you!
