Dog-Friendly Rental Properties for a Cross Country Drive

This was a great place to stop on our drive back home from Taos, NM. The yard has an awesome privacy fence and we enjoyed a quiet walk around the neighborhood with Porter. The house felt like my favorite aunt's house and the owner left us some local beer since we had mentioned that was one of our interests. We have stayed in many sketch places in our cross-country drives, but this was one of the few not-sketchy, dog-friendly places. 

We stayed here on the way back to Virginia from Colorado. This place was so cute and I loved the decor. I felt right at home. We were so zonked at this point from the wedding and the drive back across the country that we just sat at the cabin and zoned out. The owner was kind and greeted us when we got there. 

We stayed here on the way to Jackson Hole, WY from Virginia. The owners met us at the gate and we hit it off right away. There was a bike path right outside the back gate where we walked Darwin and later rode our bikes. Darwin hung out the Airbnb and the owners and when he made a fuss, the owners offered to take him out. We felt comfortable leaving him there while we rode our bikes and grabbed a beer.

We stayed here on the way to Jackson Hole, WY from Virginia. The owners met us as we pulled up told us to let them know if we needed anything. It felt like the owners were professionals in hospitality, as the condo was very nice and there was a lot of attention paid to the details. Chris and I enjoyed an evening checking out Lexington, KY.
