These books have a lot of information about dog body language and how to read it in different situations. They were (and are) very helpful to me as a learn how to navigate different situations with my dogs.
On Talking Terms with Dogs: Calming Signals
This trainer kind of seems crazy at first but I read it with an open mind. It helped me to understand Porter's body language better and sometimes I could even talk to him.

Off Leash Dog Play by Robin Bennett and Susan Briggs
I bought this to learn how to manage the dogs in the yard. There is a lot of information in here about reading body language and using that information to keep the peace during play time.
