These books gave me ideas that helped me deal with Porter and Mabel's reactivity. I got pretty far in their training with just the help of the books, but still needed to hire a trainer to help me put all of the pieces together.
The Canine Strategies Workbook
This little book packs in a ton of helpful information in very little space. I would start here if you are short on time. The dog body language charts were new to me and the first step in learning how to read Porter's feelings and keep him under threshold.
Aggression in Dogs
I ordered this book to learn more about Porter and then never read it. I just recently dusted it off to dig for information that will help me with Mabel.

I bought this book to learn about how to deal with Gussie and resource guarding.
Behavior Adjustment Training
I really enjoyed this book and want to order the updated version. Stewart is all about respecting your dog's fears and giving them space to learn on their own time. I use her techniques in combination with others. Stewart's thinking and training develops over time and it is interesting to watch it all evolve.
